A simple 2026 guide to exterior cladding door prices for Saudi villas: steel vs aluminium, and how hinges, insulation and finish affect the price per m².
Cladding doors are the most popular choice for modern villa entrances in Saudi Arabia, but advertised prices vary enormously. The reason: the name is the same, the product isn’t. What sits under the outer cladding makes the difference in price, lifespan and insulation.
What is a cladding door made of?
“Cladding” is the door’s outer skin: aluminium composite panels that give it its colour and design. Underneath is a frame of steel or aluminium tubes, with or without insulation between them. Our aluminium cladding doors at Town Glass, for example, use 2 mm aluminium tubes, two insulation layers of compressed rock wool and pressed polystyrene, and 4 mm fire-resistant cladding panels; our steel cladding doors are 5 cm thick, insulated with polystyrene and fully clad.

What raises the price per m²?
- An aluminium frame instead of steel, and thicker tubes.
- Thermal and acoustic insulation layers.
- Fire-resistant and thicker cladding panels.
- The hinge type: concealed hinges cost more than exposed ones, and a pivot more than both.
- Special finishes: inlaid lines, wood-look, glass slits, decorative extensions.
- Very large doors that need extra reinforcement.

Is cladding fire-resistant?
Not all cladding is — there are standard and fire-resistant panels. Our doors use 4 mm fire-resistant panels; always ask which type a quote includes.
Do cladding doors rust?
The cladding itself is aluminium and doesn’t rust, but a steel frame underneath can be affected by moisture over time — an aluminium frame isn’t.
